Zambia’s Biggest Artiste, Chef 187, Lands in Nigeria, Records Singles with Mr P and Skales Courtesy Chivas Whiskey

Chef 187  — Zambia’s biggest artiste — arrived in Nigeria to record some of his long-awaited singles which are set to feature two of Nigeria’s biggest names in music; Skales and Mr. P.

The highly decorated hip-hop artist who found interest in music after witnessing his brother’s musical fame has since then, released monster hits such as Amnesia, 2010, Love you, Kumalila Ngoma, etc.

With such hits to his name, it came as no surprise when award-winning whiskey brand; Chivas Scotch Whiskey decided to take their words “success is a blend” past whiskey into the music industry by being the brains behind these beautiful collaborations.

The Idea behind the coming together of these artists came from the belief that like Chivas Whiskey, “everyone is made up of a unique blend that defines them” therefore, bringing the Afroblend concept to life.

“Afroblend” like the name suggests, highlights the ‘blending’ or in this case, coming together of African artists in a seamless fashion to create the authentic African music we all love.

Speaking about the coming collaboration, Chef 187 expressed his excitement when he said “for the longest time, I’ve been trying to branch out of my country, and this gives me an opportunity to look at how other people do their things, where they get their inspiration from, and learn from their work ethics, so I’m very grateful to Chivas for this opportunity”

Chivas Regal is a blended Scotch whiskey produced by Chivas Brothers and traces its roots back to 1801. The whiskey brand believes that the fusion between Mr. P, Skales and Chef 187 would amply each musician’s uniqueness and create that Afroblend idea Africans all love.
